| Artist: The Dave Clark Five Title: Glad All Over Date: 1964 Label: Epic Records LN 24093 (Mono)
Notes: It's safe to say that anyone versed in the airwaves of the sixties can name the title tune from the record in 4 notes. The honking sax and tightly knit rhythm section court the vocals perfectly. According to the liner notes this is the record that knocked the Beatles from their number one spot on the charts. And when they were ending their six week engagement in a Tottenham ballroom, "...200 banner-carrying females staged a protest march". It goes on to state that the heart broken fans presented the management with a a 4000 name petition. A nice cover pic of the boys in their matching jackets and trousers. And we'll finish here with a quote from the drumming leader of the group concerning their replacing the mop top 4 on the charts, "It doesn't scare us though. Actually , I think we're rather good, you know". I'll leave it at that.
Line Up Dave Clark: drums
