Artist:  Chet Atkins

Title: Hum and Strum Along with Chet Atkins

Date:  1959

Label:  RCA Victor Records   LSP-2025

Notes:  Now those of us who have taken up the guitar as well as those of us with a ukulele in the closet can play along with Chet. The record contains a booklet with the words and chords all worked out for you. Of course if you listen to what Chet is actually doing you'll probably put down your guitar and be satisfied with hearing how it is supposed to really sound. But it did help me work out "Tennessee Waltz" on the mandolin. I don't know about you, but the bee on the cover creeps me out a bit. Now when someone asks you where you learned a particular song you can tell him that Chester taught it to you.
