Notes: Another
milestone for Mr. Atkins here for you folks. His sessions here
with Indian musician Harihar Rao are delivered to us via the first
two cuts of side two. Quite a surprise for the casual listener
not inclined to read the liner notes prior to playing this record.
Rao plays the sitar and the gopi (sort of a drum with a pul string)
and Chet fills in with his trusty Gretsch. The rest of the tunes
are pure Chester and he even gets an entirely solo cut (For No
One) for a change. A good variety of back cover photos and a stunning
front cover picture that I assume was taken at the Gretsch factory
or warehouse. Just give me five minutes alone in the and then a
ten minute head start. Such guitars…
