Artist:  The Baja Marimba Band

Title:  Do You Know the Way to San Jose?

Date:  1968

Label:  A & M Records   SP 4150

Album Design:  Corporate Head

Art Director:  Tom Wilkes

Photography:  Guy Webster

Notes:  Nothing surprising here, but another fine set by Julius Wechter and his merry band. The material ranges from playful to dramatic within the ever present framework of the horn section and the marvelous marimbas. Like Herb and his group the Marimba Band has their own place in the story of musical evolution and doesn't wander far from the tree. The cover photo, as always, is a group effort in mind and costume.
