Notes:  Here's a treat for those of you that only know Claude from his "A Suite for…" series of releases. A session of big band dixieland tunes through the eyes of this player of French origin. According to the liner notes this is Claude's American debut and he chose wisely. Painting his musical portrait of New Orleans he uses a broad brush and captures the feeling of the streets with his selection of rags, blues and stomps. Each song is discussed on the back cover giving the listener a little history of the music. The front cover captures the street at dusk after a cleansing rain, its lights and marquees beckoning us to step inside for a drink, a laugh and some fine music.
