Notes: From a studio sideman to sitting front and center David Bromberg released this record and has yet to look back. The man can wring beautiful tone and phrasing out of anything with strings. A combination of traditional and original material this record is a brilliant display of what David is capable of perfroming. His laid back voice and ability to shift between being the victor and the victimized with equal aplomb makes him the master storyteller that he is. A great album to begin your association with Mr. Bromberg and his various guises. A very nice line drawing on the front cover is paired with the man himself sitting among his weapons of choice on the back cover.
