Notes: Although one can think of Johnny Cash as a somber, serious musician this recording is anything but. John and the boys are having a grand old time playing and fooling around. The music is tight as always, but the tales told are offer a rare look at Johnny with his sense of humor on display. My personal favorite is "A Cup of Coffee". I think I have a friend that would fit right into this narrative (or it might be me). and to top it all off we get some grade "A" cover artwork by Jack Davis, the master of capturing the essence of the setting and the personalities within. Fun stuff!
