| Artist: Johnny Cash Title: Orange Blossom Special Date: 1965 Label: Columbia Records CL-2309 Cover Photo: Frank Bez
Notes: The self penned liner notes concern Johnny meeting Ervin Rouse, the man who wrote the eternal song "Orange Blossom Special". Along with this Johnny sings three songs from the book of Bob Dylan, the classic "Long Black Veil", a few originals and so on. The man is in fine voice and his manner that of a man in control of his sound and having a good time making music. If you don't own any Cash and have a penchant for folk music of sorts, this might be a good place to get comfortable with "the man in black". The cover photo of Johnny atop a box car is a fine portrait of a workin' guy hopping a lift. Whether it's to the next stop or the next state we'll never know. Line Up Johnny Cash: Vocals
