Notes: An early Clash 10", this is one of their best. It's got some of the original energy and political themes mixed with some dancehall dub and remix tracks. With nine tunes one can hardly call this an EP. The cover photo of a young punk facing off a horde of police recalls the struggles of the "No Future" generation. It's funny though, a great lot of them early punks are successful business types in the industry these days. Strange, what?
Here's a bit of info submitted by Neal Wright: You may or not be aware, but the 'young Punk' facing off the police in the cover photo is apparently Don Letts the 1970's reggae/punk DJ of London's '100 Club', Video Maker/director, ex-member of Big Audio Dynamite (BAD) and long time friend of Joe Strummer. |
