Notes: Deke
mixes it up on this one with a smattering of Rock n' Roll, some
downhome Hillybilly and rounds it out with some straight ahead
Rockabilly. Always one to mix genres during his live performances
Deke can wear may guises and pull them all off convincingly. His
choice of guitars and sidemen always work to keep your ears wanting
more of Deke and the boys. And speaking of sidemen Deke managed
to get Earl Palmer on drums for a few sessions.
Earl is known for such backing such luminaries as Fats
Domino, Little Richard, Richie Valens (he's the drummer
on La Bamba), Dick Dale, Willie Nelson and
on and on. Just a great overall record from a player who loves
to play. The uncredited cover photography has Deke in his various
personas with his classic guitars.
