Notes: A
different Dylan is presented here as the 70s began to wind down.
There are a few fine songs here to add to Bob's canon and some
not so memorable tunes as well. Surrounding himself with some background
vocalists and a tight band the Rolling Thunder receding in the
distance Bob wanders about stopping here and there to drop crumbs
of wisdom and acute observation. "Baby Stop Crying" is one of my
all time favorites and although I've heard better versions in his
live recordings the track on this LP is classic Dylan. Bob looks
to be awaiting his carriage on the front cover and appears as a
messenger in white on the back side. A nice inner sleeve with a
few intimate B&W shots as a bonus.
