Notes:
Charlie and his boys turn in an excellent performance here. Southern rock at its best (at least since Duane and Lowell are gone) in a setting in which the bands sounds both comfortable and fiery. Long Haired Country boy has the loping, relaxed feel of a Sunday afternoon while Caballo Diablo races along toward the cliffs. Charlie can play both ends of the spectrum and leave you smiling. The closer with its classic past fits right in with the rest of the repertoire. They ain't pretty and you ain't gonna find a Nudie suit among 'em, but damn they can play. The cover art has a nice folk art feel and there's a few live shots inside. You don't have to be from the south or wear a hat to like this one. Just enjoy the music for the skill involved.
