Notes: Subtitled, "The
Passions and Pageantry of Gods and Goddesses of Mythology" this
record attempts to bring to life a plethora of the mighty folk
from time long gone. Frank DeVol, who if I'm not mistaken played
Happy Kine on the TV show Fernwood 2 Nite, conducts the
orchestra here with a sensitive hand and makes a good attempt at
bringing out the unique qualities of each of the subjects. The
cover notes describe in detail the traits of each of the Gods and
Goddesses and give you a mental picture to hang the music on. And
of course our cover model is adorned in the trappings of a Godess
and placed in front of the proper background. A fun record for
the lounge set as well as the lover of orchestration in general.
And as I was reminded by a visitor to the site he also composed
the theme to "The Brady Bunch". His credit (as DeVol)
follows "And Ann B. Davis as Alice."
