Notes: A collection of talents from the San Francisco Bay Area representing such groups at Big Brother, Jefferson Airplane, Saunders/Garcia, Quicksilver and Country Joe. They stay well within thier usual territory throught the record and it turns out to be a good thing. It feels like and old friend come for a visit. The front cover painting with its prehistoric setting carries on the theme. The back cover has "Linosaur Diner Notes" written by Robert Hunter (frequent collaborator with Jerry Garcia). It's nice to see the fellas are still making music that they enjoy and making it sound fresh along the way.
