Notes: Released
as two separate records, the box set includes a portfolio of a
dozen poems and illustrations. Uncredited, I assume Donovan had
a hand in the words if not the pictures as well. In the liner notes
Donovan, the drug-free hippie of the time, laments the youth of
the time and their predilection for drugs. He goes on to say, "One
need only to look at our frustrated youth to see the fantastic
amounts of misdirected energy". Sound familiar? Some things
never change. The music as always is fine and dandy and full
of that typical Donovan ethereal mysticism. And to bring us peace
the back cover has a picture of the boy and the Maharishi Mahesh
Yogi in quiet conversation.
