Notes: Early Mac were a blues based outfit with crunchy guitars and a bit of rock attitude. This doulbe LP combines two earlier efforts, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and English Rose. Those that only know the band through their later work would be well advised to seek this set out and give it a good listen. Peter Green cold lead the pack, but had no problem handing off to one of the other guitarists for a lick or two. Most people believe "Black Magic Woman" to be a Santana song and although he has made it his own through the years (coupled with the Tito Puente penned "Oye Como Va) this is the original in all its glory. The inner cover has the lads posed in front of the flat while the front/back covers present what one could only assume is "The" black magic woman.
