Notes: Late seventies radio must have played "Hocus Pocus", the 6 minute, 35 second opening cut from this album, hourly for years. But don't let the novelty of that song mislead you, these guys are in it for the long haul. Progressive rock from across the sea to make us smile. The second side consists of the tune "Eruption" which is made up of five movements and carries the listener along with little protest. A record for those times when you're in the mod for a little operatic yodeling. A few words contributed by Frits Barth: The Moving Waves album was originally released in the Netherlands with a different cover and was called FOCUS II. The five movements on side 2 are divided in 15 movements instead of the five times three on the cover of Moving Waves. The back cover of Moving Waves contains the same photograph asthe Focus II back cover, only that one is in black and white. The front cover consists of 4 photo's of the band members. |
