Notes: This
is the solo album in which Jerry forged a few tunes which would
become live standards such as "Deal" and "To
Lay Me Down". The record became known as THE Garcia
album in the appropriate circles and there was much rejoicing across
the land upon its release. Uncle Jerry wasn't there to amaze us
with flash or frolic, he was a story teller first even when his
unique guitar was doing the talking. The cover art makes this a
very recognizable album. One for the ages.
