Notes: An
interesting trio here. Dizzy plays with drummer Bernard Purdie,
not on of the usual jazz suspects Dizzy is usually associated with,
and Toot Thielmans. I've know Toots more for his harmonica work
than his guitar chops, but he turns in a fine perforance here.
Not a bebop burner, but a more reasoned approach seems to cover
this set. All are in fine form and carry the material well. THe
cover shot of Dizzy with his unique horn captures he spirit well.
And it came on transparent red vinyl as a bonus.
