| Artist: Green on Red Title: Green on Red Date: 1982 Label: Down There Records DT-3
Notes: On what I believe is their first album, the band has a very raw, DIY feel. There’s a lost, dreamlike quality to some of the songs, as if you’d just come to consciousness in a strange place. A bit disturbing, but compelling as well. This is a band that started out making fantastic music and just continued to get better. Keyboard player Chris Cacavas has produced some wonderful records with his band “Junkyard Love” post G on R. This record could be described as punk without all the faux violent screaming and thrashing about. A very basic cover layout with its green/red motif and black & white photo is a nice touch. If you’re not familiar with the band they’re worth seeking out.
Line Up: Dan Stuart: guitar, vocals Track Listing Side 1
