Artist:  Herman's Hermits

Title:  Herman's Hermits Greatest Hits

Date:  196?

Label:  Music For Pleasure (MPF)   048 CRY 50 727

Produced By:  Mickie Most

Notes:  A German import with a good mix of material from Peter and his mates. They manage to cover Ray Davies, The Hollies and for some rosy-cheeked well-scrubbed looking lads they turn in a great rendition of Jezebel, plus the excellent tune No Milk Today. And there's A kind of a Hush for those listeners of a more gentle nature. Nothing new here to entice the collector crowd to seek this one out, but if you stumble across it might as well grab it. Although the boys dress in suits are sporting ties, that hair looks a tad shaggy to me. And I do detect a left handed bass player. You've just got to appreciate that drum kit with its strategically placed microphone to pick up every nuance of the performance.
