Notes: Pretty
cool, a
red vinyl promotional copy of Hunter doing some of his
most famous Grateful Dead tunes and a few lesser known songs too.
Although his singing voice may be an acquired taste his choice
of a phrase or line is excellent. It's nice for a fan of the Dead
to be able to hear these songs in an unadorned state as one imagines
Robert and Jerry heard them as they were being built. There are
some subtle differences between these renditions and the final
versions released over the years and that makes it all the more
interesting. The cover art is reminiscent of the familiar Dear
covers, but with a more realistic feel. And did I mention that
it's on red vinyl? A great find for any hard-core fan of Uncle
Jerry and his merry circle of friends.
