Notes: Having
established his credentials by studying at Juilliard and under
Teddy Wilson and then playing with the likes of Miles Davis, Roy
Eldridge and Benny Goodman, Dick Hyman knows his keyboard. Backed
by his orchestra he takes us through his versions of Latin rhythm,
some classical sounds and one of our old favorites "Miserlou".
Shining the light of cool on Dick was Enoch light himself. Always
looking toward the future of recording techniques and stereo effects
the production is clear and clean. Although a bit kitsch or lounge-bound
it's still a fun ride. And just dig that cover piece, we're talking
very modern here.
