Artist:  Jan Hammer

Title:  The First Seven Days

Date:  1975

Label:  Nemperor Records   NE 432 0698

Art Direction:  Paula Scher

Cover Illustration:  Milton Glaser

Notes:  Acting as a one man band throughout this conceptual piece Jan does what he does best, play brilliantly. From his Mahavishnu roots to his Miami Vice days Jan is all over the map. The cover touches on natural elements and muted coloration to illustrate the early stages of creation. This may be better left for the fans familiar with the Hammer sound, but don't pass it up if offered.

Line Up:

Jan Hammer:  piano, electric piano, Moog synthesizer, Oberheim synthesizer and digital sequencer, drums, percussion, Freeman string synthesizer, Mellotron

Added on a few cuts: David Earle Johnson (congas & percussion) and Steve Kindler (violin)
