Notes: OK,
here's another of my guilty pleasures. I love these guys. If you
separate out the sweetness and treacle you'll find at least one
or two songs per record that either rock or at least make you wonder, "where
did they come up with that?" According to the liner notes
this is their first release and they're all between 16 and 18 when
it was released. Peter, an aspiring actor, was nicknamed "Herman" after
the lads noticed his resemblance to the "Sherman" character
on the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show (for some strange reason, not
revealed). There's just something that makes me smile to hear teen
lads of the British persuasion singing the likes of "Sea
Cruise" and "Mother-In-Law". The boys
were off to a brilliant start on their musical career and you still
see Peter show up on those VH1 oldie shows now and then. I guess
they were into something good after all.
