Notes:  Another fine set of tunes from the pen of Weller with a song by Foxton and a well-worn cover tune as well. Too sporty to be punk and too talented to be pegged as another trendy new wave group the Jam were the thinking man's choice of rebellion. At times angry, alienated and brash they could also put forth a softer vibe or a snappy dance number. The lads from Woking always come through even if they did tend to morph over time. There's something about a snotty little kid from England singing Heat Wave that just makes me smile. A great cover, both front and back, alas is uncredited. A must for Jam collectors.

Line Up:

Paul Weller: guitar, keyboards, vocals
Bruce Foxton: bass, vocals
Rick Buckler: drums
Mick Talbot: piano
