


Notes: This
trio made their mark in the New Wave movement with a string of
albums, each one a rocker in its' own right. Paul Weller
went on to the Style Council and solo pursuits, but none as riviting
as the Jam (in my own humble opinion). They would fill a
hall with the sound of Rickenbackers and Wellers' stories about
life on and near the street and you could feel the intensity in
the crown. As the band aged horns were added and the sound
went more toward a R & B flavor. The cover photography
captures some of the feeling, but you had to be there.
