Notes: A
strange record that I have to assume was recorded in a satirical
vein. A limp dig at Donovan (The Universal Coward) along with some
bland attempts at more topical material (Eve of Destruction) don't
seem to suit the duo. There are a few more tunes better suited
to their typical fare. The liner notes on the rear cover are an
attempt at humor with their take on the burgeoning protest movement
as follows (incorrect spelling is intentional): "Join the Jan and
Dean potest train movement. Here's what you can do, go find sum
railroad tracks an siton them....". This LP is included just for
its own smarmy charmlessness. I don't think that the boys were
quite ready to embrace the Summer of Love quite yet.
