| Artist: B.B. King Title: Take It Home Date: 1979 Label: MCA Records MCA-3151 Cover Concept: Kathe Schreyer Photography: Earl Miller Art Direction / Design: Stuart Kusher
Notes: While there might not be a top-of-the-charts hit here as a whole this record is a great reflection of B.B. as both a singer and as a guitarist. As he's said for years he got his style from not being able to sing and play at the same time and he's worked it to his advantage ever since. Trading licks and lines he tell us stories of those he met along the way. The cover picture of a young boy mesmerized by the beauty of a fine guitar must talk to each of us that appreciated a quality ax. I know I've had my nose up against the glass of many a music store over the years. The back cover has the boy walking off into the sun with the guitar across his back. Lucky kid…
