Artist:  King Crimson

Title:  Larks' Tongues in Aspic

Date:  1973

Label:  Atlantic Records   SD 7263

Cover Design:  Tantra Designs, London

Notes:  Another album, another set of personnel changes. Becoming even more progressive Fripp brings in strings and sets sail for a new round of playing amidst the edge of the envelope. Always playing as a unit the rhythm section has shoulders broad enough carry the music as far as needed. Crediting Bruford with "drums" just never seems enough of an explanation of what it is that he actually does for this band. A beautiful cover illustration suitable for framing captures the eyes such as the music captures the mind.

Line Up:

David Cross: violin, viola, mellotron
Robert Fripp: guitar, mellowtron & devices
John Wetton: bass & vocals
Bill Bruford: drums
Jamie Muir: percussion & allsorts
