Notes: Known
primarily as a Bob Weir side project, this album gathers together
recordings spanning the history of the band, before and after Bob.
Starting in 1973 and rolling right up to the time of the pressing
the band plays its version of boogie, rock and country tinged blues.
You could see this band fitting right in at an outdoor BBQ and
beerfest. Bikers, grandma's and the children all stomping around
in the dirt and smiling up a storm. Dave Torbert had recorded previously
with the New Riders of the Purple Sage, leaving after the Panama
Red album to form Kingfish. This album is not to be
confused with the 1995 Arista release of the same name. The cover
shows Neptune (I assume) upon his royal steed coming at 'cha. Good
stuff.
