The Album Cover Art Gallery

Artist:  Klaatu

Title:  Sir Army Suit

Date:  1978

Cover Art:  Ted Jones

Notes:  The cover to this one imparts very little information.  All I can say is that it sounds good, especially "Silly Boys" and the backwards vocal enhanced "Mister Manson".  Seventies progressive rock in a lesser vein. The cover art looks to be a pleasant watercolor of the fellows off on a jaunt.

The following info was passed along by gurian77@aol.com. Thanks:

Not having any sophisticated equipment available; and after about 17 years of mystery concerning the group Klaatu, I decided to try, manually to leave the turntable between 33 and 45 on the selector switch which successfully achieved a neutral position on my turntable. Then, I proceeded to take my index finger and turned the turntable backwards on the reversed part of Silly Boys. "yesterday, yesterday, late last night while wishing on a star" not very steady but very understandable. Really cool to put part of a song from your first album backwards on a song on your third album. Even the music backwards was from "Anus from Uranus" on the first album.

And here's link to an introduction to the band.
