Notes: A
live performance from saxophonist Klemmer and friends captured in 1972
at the Ash Grove in LA. All originals and all wrapped in the blanket of
sound created by Klemmer's idyllic visions. Peaceful without being
sappy, strong without being harsh. Although performed in front of an
audience there are passages a bit dreamlike and personal. Never one to
grandstand John shares the spotlight around with his fellow travelers.
Wonderful cover art on this gatefold sleeve has a bit of that early
seventies utopian wishfulness about it. |
