Artist:  Leo Kottke

Title:  Greenhouse

Date:  1972

Label Capitol Records   ST-11000

Album Design:  Good Time Graphics

Photography and Artwork:  Bill Matthews

Notes:  A few vocal selections among the usual instrumentals found on Leo's records. Once again Leo demonstrates his prowess with the stringed box and a melody line. Very earthy, personal tunes. A couple John Fahey songs sounding just right. The rest of the record is performed with a foot in the Americana stirrup and the other in the unique place the Leo can take us. Guitar licks seems to flow from his hands and the addition of a voice to play against works well here for the most part. The cover art inspired in both subject and tone from the title is fitting and well executed.
