Notes: Ever
pushing the boundaries of recording technology, the cover of this
Enoch Light LP proclaims the this was "Master Recorded on
35mm Magnetic Film" instead of inferior tape. This is to capture
each and every nuance of this collection of song chosen to wrench
the emotion form the listener and drag them into the studio with
the players themselves. Quite a collection of songs here for the
lounge set and the prize is the closing tune "Workin' in a
Coal Mine" in which includes "...an authentic railroad
spike which Bob Rosengarden uses throughout the selection to achieve
the unusual hammering effect". Just bitchin'. And the guitar
is handled by none other than Tony Mottola. The very technical
looking cover art is a perfect match for the precision within.
Shine the Light.
