Artist:  Lake

Title:  Lake

Date:  1977

Label:  Columbia   (PC 34763)

Illustration:  James McMullen

Design:  Paula Scher

Notes:  I'm not that familiar with this band, I picked it up for the cover art alone. The music is seventies "prog-rock" with a little tilt toward being preachy sometimes, but overall it's pretty good stuff. The cover appears to be watercolor and is simple in design and excution, but it still catches the eye.

The following information was provided by James:

They were a German band, later
produced by Jim Guercio of the band "Chicago", and Carl Wilson of the Beach  boys sang with them once in a while. Believe it or not, I saw them in 1977 on  tour with Neil Young and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Line Up:

Martin Tiefensee
James Hopkins-Harrison
Alex Conti
Dieter Ahrendt
Geoffrey Peacey
