Buddy was the guitarist on the Lawrence Welk show when I was just a child, but I didn't discover his sound until much later. Finding a few of his records at a flea market and buying them for the interesting covers I was surprised to hear how good he plays. Very nice technique and the records definately have that period feel to the material. From the Sunday afternoon schmaltz of the "Lawrence Welk Show" to just jaw dropping surf licks Buddy covers a wide range of musical styles, but doesn't forget that it's all about the guitar.
