Notes: A
strong album, the last release for Monk's quartet of the 60's,
Monk is ever at the center and pulls everyone else in toward him.
In doing so the band is able to operate on the same plane as our
featured pianist. A beautiful album. The cover art places our hero
in the French resistance circa WWII. Even in this place of war
mementos and secrecy Monk still had a piano available to him. A
great record to add to you collection of the masters of jazz.
