Notes: Recorded
over two days in October 1959, this is a great selection of material
running from Mork to Ellington and a few original thrown in the
mix as well. Montgomery's chording style fits in well with the
organ and drum backdrop and it may not be his strongest outing
it is still well worth the price of admission. Wonderful jacket
art and liner notes by producer Orrin Keepnews make
for a nice album. The CD release has a few extra cuts (different
takes of Satin Doll and Missile Blues). Any Wes
