Notes: A little
conversation between Herb Alpert and Chet
Baker resulted in a string
of albums combining the jazz touch of Chet Baker with the Mariachi
sound. While some players would have approached this melding with
tongue in cheek, Chet plays it straight with tasteful flourishes
and soft mood tones. A nice 60s cover girl is paired with Chet, hat
in place, for a fine combination of fun and frolic.
