The Album Cover Art Gallery

Artist:  Minutemen

Title:  3-Way Tie (for Last)

Date:  1985

Cover Design:  D. Boon

Notes:  Even if you bought the album only for the covers of songs by Blue Oyster Cult, The Urinals, The Meat Puppets and Credence Clearwater Revival it would be a bargain. Throw in a large spoonful of originals clocking in at around a minute or so and you've got a caffeine driven room full of cigar smoke, political intrigue and downright leftist leanings. Power to the common folk. With songs like "Ack Ack Ack" the Minutemen set the tone for some of the best of the 80's punk. The cover painting by D. Boon (deceased) is a great likeness with a tinge of satire. Back cover photo's are of a few chums having a laugh. I you don't own any Minutemen this is a very good starting point.

Line Up:

D. Boon: acoustic and electric guitars, singing (lead and back-up)
Mike Watt: bass
George Hurley: drums
