Artist:  Monks of Doom

Title:  The Cosmodemonic Telegraph Company

Date:  1989

Label:  Pitch-A-Tent Records  PITCH 13

Notes:  Created from the fallout of Camper Van Beethoven the Monks of Doom present us with the darker side of the Camper card. Able to weave melodies and harmonies with strangely ethnic moods the band puts together an interesting travelogue of sorts. The cover art is not credited and appears to be a photo of the buzzards awaiting a meal. I'm not sure what the wall sign proclaims, but it can't be good. While Lowery and Cracker are carrying on the "Sunny Side" of the Camper legacy, the Monks continue to show us the "Thing that go Bump in the Night" side. Not for everyone, but special for a few.
