Artist:  NRBQ

Title:  Diggin' Uncle Q

Date:  1988

Label:  Rounder Records   3109

Cover Design:  David B. Greenberger

Notes:  A live session here from two different show. The first side was recorded at Toad's Place (New Haven, CT.) and side two is from Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel (Providence, R.I.). Both recordings were captured without any prior knowledge on the part of the club owners or the fans. The band just hit the stage, rolled tape and took their chances. But, as usual with NRBQ your chances are quite good. Championed by critics and musicians nationwide these guys can just sit, play and tell musical stories all night long. An eccentric and eclectic range of material that never leaves you battered, but longing for more. You want to know how deep the musical mine really is. To know them is to love them. And just look at the innocent face on the cover. We all love when Uncle Q comes to town.

Joey Spampinato: bass, vocals
Al Anderson: guitar, vocals, bass
