Artist:  The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble

Title:  The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble

Date: 1968

Label:  Atco Records    SD33-240

Cover and Inner Liner Painting:  Dennis Corrigan

Back Liner Photography:  Jay P. Halpin

Album Design:  Stanislaw Zagorski

Notes:  Although their shows had all the theater feel of the free form psychedelic jam bands the NYRE had the classical bent to never forget the structure of the music. The lyrics feel a bit beat influenced and poetic at times. The album still plays well today. A serious front cover illustration and a looser back cover is a good representation of the range covered on this record.
