Notes: After
making his singing debut in a stage production of "Irma La
Douce" (with Juliet Prowse) Nimoy was approached by Dot Records
to record his debut album. The result of that offer is that we
now have Mr. Spock's take on such songs the "Oliver" chestnut
Where is Love and Music to Watch Space Girls By. Another of those
records that you buy, spin just enough times to get the other inhabitants
of the domicile mulling rebellion. The record goes on the shelf
and only sees daylight at parties where common sense has already
left the building riding an alcohol fueled charger. According to
the liner notes, prior to his stage appeanance Leonard had limited
his vocal stylings to the shower and the occasional party where
he would strum a little folk guitar as well. You also get the pleasure
of a Mr. Spock front cover juxtaposed against the smile of his
earthly counterpart on the rear cover. Collect it for the cover
or the kitsch, listen at your own risk.
