Label: Columbia Records C 30033
Cover Design and Art: Ron Coro

Notes: This had been one of my favorite albums back in junior high school
and Fields of Joy had been the best song on the record. Imagine my surprise a few
years ago to see Lenny Kravitz open a live show with this tune. And I thought I was the
only one to own this record! A nice straight forward set of songs with the keyboards mixed
way up front on most. While the production may be a bit thin this is still a nice find. .
This record has been released on CD in combination with the album "Freedomburger". Lenny's version can be
found on his "Mama Said" CD. And the cover is adorned with some nice happy
demons.

The following
information was provided by Clif Nivison:
"This album was the first album recorded after Brian
Corrigan left the band. We were closer than ever as friends and as musicians. It was fun to record and to tour behind. It was the last great effort of the New York Rock Ensemble.
Bands have a life cycle. This was the top of our cycle. After this we drifted in different directions. That's
what happens to rock bands. Especially young ones. I love this album it is my favorite."
"The picture on the album was taken in the pool hall where they filmed the Hustler, it
was down on the west side in NYC. The band had 5 albums, the New York
Rock and Roll Ensemble, Faithful Friends, Reflections, Roll Over, and Freedomburger. The drummer Martin
Fulterman, is now Mark Snow of X-Files fame. And I guess you know Michael Kamen has done the music for
many feature films, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard movies and many others including Robin Hood."
