Notes: There's
very little in the way of liner notes with this one folks. It's
a collection of some familiar and some unheard from Roy. Part of
their "Spotlight Series" this is a nice sampler of Roy
and his trademark voice and guitar. As for Bristow Hopper, I received
the following from Ms. Linda English, "... was once in the
songwriting team of
Perkins & Hopper, wrote two original songs for me to record in 1972 inJacksonville, FL. Later went to Nashville to be a staff writer at Acuff-Rose. Very talented lyricist." So there you have it. This was a flea market find. Made for a nice day, it did. Nice little cover sketch too. |
