Notes:  A bluegrass outing from some of the most talented pickers around. Most folks don't put Jerry Garcia and the banjo together, but he along with Grisman and the rest have a life long love of the Bill Monroe, high lonesome sound. And playing with our shaggy band of pickers is none other than Vassar himself. A live recording capturing the real feel of the sounds produced by wood and wires in front of an appreciative crowd. Their working of the Jagger/Richard song Wild Horses is worth the entry fee all by itself. All the players kept their love for this style music as the went on to produce their own records and such and it shows through their work. The cover art has the homemade folk art look in much the same manner as the music has the same homemade folk sound. Released on CD, this is a hunk of silicon worth looking up.

Line Up:

Jerry Garcia: banjo and vocal
David Grisman: mandolin and vocals
Peter Rowan: guitar and vocals
John Kahn: string bass
Vassar Clements: violin
