Notes: Oscar
playing the part of the house pianist plays host to five top trumpet
tanlents with the expected results. each has a distinct style,
but you can hear some cross-breeding going on as well. And of course,
Oscar is the consummate host eagerly sharing the solos and the
spotlight. Another fine product from Oscar's long association with
Norman Granz. can't help noticing the smiles all around on the
front cover. I guess we'd be smiling too if we had the chance to
sit in on this one.
