| Artist: Pussy Cats (Featuring Harry Nilsson and John Lennon) Title: Pussy Cats Date: 1974 Art Direction by: Acy R. Lehman
Notes: This fabulous album includes original adaptations, classic tunes, rock 'n' roll standards and it just sounds like they had a great time making the music happen. Along with Harry and John are Keith Moon and Ringo Starr among others. From what I've read, this was a period of manic swings from depression to lunitic, alcohol induced free-for-alls of fun and frolic for our heroes. From the sound of these sessions it seems that it was a good formula at the time. The cover is a picture of the boys in a doll house setting, just having a little make-over. It's been brought to my attention that along with a bit of drink there were other substances at play during these sessions. This is hinted at by the placement of the two toy blocks on the front cover with the rug between them (D -rug- S). Strange days indeed...
